I have a question, I should say more like wanting clarification. So I have been studying my Bible for sometime but I don't really get to sit with it like that, so when I read or saw Oro read her's like that I felt that I need to learn to read my Bible in that way that when I read my Bible I should still live with the wait of what I've read and I want it to shape my life, my experiences and how I see myself. So question may you please help elaborate more on the way Oro read her Bible. This would greatly help me. Thank you in advance.

That's a brilliant question.

My answer is this…

Many times we read the Bible like it is a historical book written for us to read and just understand the characters.

But merely reading the Bible isn't the same as studying. Reading can be passive. But studying?

In studying the Bible, you read like God is speaking to you and just you. No one else but you.

You examine every verse. Every word. Everything that jumps out at you.

And as you read the Bible, you read it like a letter written to you and for you. The Epistles are written for you. Not just the physical address you see it delivered in those days. They are written for you. I dare say about 85% of the New Testament is written for you. So, read it like a letter written for you. Examine everything. Check with yourself. Assess yourself.

The Old Testament was written to you. Read the same way but for me, I check in with commentaries and concordances to understand the era it was written in. Not everything applies for us today.

To close this, I'd say,

Interact with the Bible. Don't just read it. Interact with it. Ask questions.

Sometimes I read aloud so I can act it out. And then I try to weigh what's going on in there with the world I live in and the world we live in today.

Thank you for your response. How to use and where to find the commentaries and concordance.

Thank God.

You can get them online. Try the Blue Letter Bible. There's a web version and an app.

Ohhh Mautinnnn, thank you for not being religious and just pouring theology on her. Christianity is life, it's not just read, it is experienced and can be shared.

Now can we talk about your vibrating folders, are they butterflies or caterpillars?

The file is getting too much, Mautin should just delete it jare 😂😂😂 let Oro grow in peace 😂

The Smart Seide's avatar

🤣🤣🤣

Both of them have folders nah.

Esther Opakunle's avatar

They should keep it far away ooo, healing first 😂😂

The Smart Seide's avatar

Yes. Healing comes first.

Ọrọ has to heal before she deals.

I’ve never seen that verse explained in such a simple and comprehensive form. This is so beautiful.

There’s a new sheriff in town! Kai.

Thank God for simplifying these things for us.

Yes, there is.
